• Strong knowledge of actuarial methods, statistical analysis, pricing, actuarial models, databases, and analytical tools.
• An actuarial designation, generally FCAS.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise actuarial judgment, assess data and assumptions, resolve non-optimal results, and turn analysis into business recommendations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
Advanced analytics, predictive modeling, programming, and modeling-software experience are valued, but not required. We are especially interested in actuaries who can connect analysis to pricing decisions, product strategy, customer needs, and profitable growth.
Why this opportunity
You’ll join a team that encourages innovation, continuous learning, peer collaboration, and the use of modern actuarial tools and methodologies. Your recommendations will help influence personal lines pricing, product development, coverage strategy, and the way Nationwide serves customers in a changing insurance market.
This is a full-time individual-contributor opportunity. This role can be staffed fully remote.
